Nutrition For Athletes

Nutrition is the most important self practice of nourishment for our bodies. It is the key element to maintain a healthy life and our overall physical well being. If you wouldn't put sugar in your cars gas tank why would you fuel your own body with it? What you put in your body affects performance, energy, weight, recovery, and so much more. The average athlete does not realize the importance of a healthy lifestyle and the impact a good, clean, balanced diet can have on their body. Typically people correlate the word 'diet' with a restriction of foods so they can reach a specific goal, usually weight loss. The goal in mind should be to be healthy and reach your optimum performance. A 'diet' should not be used to reach this goal but a lifestyle change! "Be the change you wish to see" -Mahatma Gandhi
